If you liked yesterday’s walk down memory lane, than you’ll love today’s as it’s got much more goodness.

Here’s my brother getting a new Jabba the Hutt in 1983! I couldn’t post this picture up yesterday because I bought him a new Jabba for Christmas this year! By now he’s already opened it and hopefully made the same face.

My cousin got those Popoids that year and man those things stayed around forever. Hard to destroy.

I’m not sure exactly what I’m getting here, but it’s clearly an Aquaman something. And so the love of Aquaman started even at a young age. And there’s my brother’s Christmas sweater!

Mmm, Christmas dinner. Why we needed a picture of my Dad getting some coffee I’ll never know.

Here’s my cousin and his mom. She wasn’t ever around much, so this is a rare photo.

I remember this Christmas VERY well. Why? Because Santa brought me and my brother matching California Raisins T-Shirts. Thanks Santa!

This is Satnike, (spelling?) a German named Cocker Spaniel that instilled fear to GI Joes and He-Man toys for years. She’s but a pup on this Christmas, but she still probably chewed up more than her fair share of toys. Poor Dusty!

Looks like that’s a heavy gift!

Here’s a Christmas party from the 50’s. I’m guessing there’s a relative in there somewhere.

I love this old picture of Santa Claus. That’s totally vintage.

I’m pretty confident that this is my brother on Santa’s lap. He doesn’t look too happy… Then again, neither does Santa!

Here’s another one from the vault. No clue as to who this is though. Someone in the family I presume.

My brother looks exactly like his daughter at this age.

This is my brother’s Christmas music thing. Years later he would admit to me that he really wasn’t playing much and just letting the rest of the orchestra do the work.

Christmas time again and I got a FOB! Teddy Ruxpin, FTW!

Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!

Another great set of pics. I remember Teddy Ruxpin. I was tempted get him and a few cassettes but I figured being a teenager by then, my parents would have thought it odd. Action figures of superheroes, fantasy warriors, sci-fi characters, and the military? Yeah. A teddy bear? Not so much, I'm afraid. Even if he did talk and looked cuter than Furbies.

Thanks for sharing and Merry Christmas to you and yours!

  • Thanks! I loved Teddy as a kid. As you can see, I had him and all his companions. Merry Christmas to you and all yours as well!

My brother got me Teddy Ruxpin one year for Christmas when I was real young, he had a job and stuff so he got us all good gifts that year. I slept with that thing for years, cause I think he also got me the "night time" one where he goes to sleep or something–it's been so long.
