The folks over at Robot Comics, publishers of Robot 13 and an assortment of other titles are celebrating Free Comic Book Day a little bit early. As you may recall I came across Robot 13 from a free downloadable iPhone comic. Well they’re at it again, now offering a ton of thier comics for free on a variety of platforms including the Android and Nintendo DSi! How cool is that? Check out the press release below.

This May 1st thousands of comic book fans and casual readers will visit comics shops all over the USA and Canada to get free comics thanks to Free Comic Book Day (FCBD). Yet, if you’ve got an Android, iPhone, iPod touch or Nintendo DSi anywhere in the world, dozens of hours of free comic book entertainment await you, as close as your fingertips, with unlimited stock, and not just this Saturday.

Robot Comics is one of first and few mobile comic publishers who offer titles specifically designed and formatted to be read on mobile devices. It currently publishes comics for iPhone, iPod touch, Android, Kindle and Nintendo DSi, with more platforms and consoles coming soon.

I definitely suggest you download a few of these free comics. What’s to lose? I mean… They’re FREE!

If you like them, download some more and start buying them. That’s the whole idea behind FCBD and Robot Comics has definitely gotten the spirit.
