TNA Wrestling News
Sorry for the lack of updates this weekend at Infinite Hollywood, but it's been hectic here around HQ. I'm thinking of taking on a couple of additional writers, if anyone is interested in writing about toys, movies, video games, comics or pop culture in general, feel free to drop me a line. Not sure if we'll expand a bunch or at all, but it's something I'm considering. Meanwhile...
I stumbled across this cool play that's taking place "down under". It's called Robot versus World and it's a bit of a play off of the Watchmen but with a lot more tongue in robotic cheek. Here's the synopsis from their official webtsite:
Someone is killing off all the famous TV and film robots and the original Optimus Prime, the classic Astroboy and an 80s Dalek must form an unlikely alliance to try and solve the mystery, live on stage.
Some of it definitely looks hokey, but it also looks like a fun live show. There's a surprising amount of nerd content popping up in theatre/comedy shows as of late. And you have to give it up for our friends down under, the Aussies are in fact some of the biggest fans of sci-fi and general geek stuff around the world. If you're down there and are able to check out the show, I suggest it. Plus I total want that Optimus Prime costume. Meanwhile, here's a clip...
