Has anyone seen the new truTV channel? The channel used to be Court TV which I was quite fond of. Given that court programs aren't as entertaining the lack of content has made the channel adapt into a more modern take on "reality" without the reality show element. What exactly does that mean?

Well for starters they have a format which is all about real events. These aren't scripted reality shows, but rather real moments caught on films. You'll see jaw dropping moments from people's real lives and spine cringing acts of violence videoed. It's definitely something you should watch with caution.

Of course not all the shows are as in your face serious either, they have teamed up with the Smoking Gun to run a program similar to "Best Week Ever" where they analyze certain events with snark. Check out Todd Bridges below:



Of course that's just a drop in the bucket of what they have. It's a drastic change from the previous lineup on the channel but it's definitely the wildest stuff you're likely to see. Check out this video of a Bungee jump gone awry...



If you're a lover of television that's real, you'll be a fan of truTV. I know every time I watch it, I can feel myself twisting around in my seat from the intense stuff on the screen.
